Felling without hammer blows – the mechanical spreading wedge for your cordless impact wrench
Felling wedge 50434 replaces sledgehammer and plastic wedges in light forestry work. The threaded spindle spreads the wedge in a controlled way and lifts the trunk with up to approx. 10 t of lifting force – largely vibration-free, powered by the cordless impact wrench or ratchet you already carry.

At approx. 16° wedge angle the spreading wedge safely lifts even heavy trunks and opens the back cut in a controlled way.
No hammer blows, no vibration
No shocks to the trunk, no striking – easy on saw, trunk and back. Works in frozen or hard wood as well.
Uses the tools you already have
Driven by any cordless impact wrench with approx. 200–750 Nm (13 mm socket) or alternatively by a ratchet.
How the spreading wedge works
Three steps instead of hammer blows: the wedge is inserted flat into the horizontal back cut on the side opposite the notch and spread by turning the spindle.
1. Insert the wedge
Insert the spreading wedge with the plates closed flat into the back cut.
2. Attach the impact wrench
Fit the cordless impact wrench or ratchet with a 13 mm socket onto the threaded spindle.
3. Turn the spindle
The spindle spreads the wedge and the trunk lifts in a controlled way – without hammer blows.
